There's a little shop on the first floor; I beleive it's called the "Biltmore Snack and Gift Shoppe." We call it Sam's. I didn't realize until today how many novelty-esque items Sam has got jammed in that little space. I was struck by a craving for some Nutter Butter's and that seemed like just the kind of thing Sam would carry. He did carry it. He also not only stocks the long lost BreathSavers but he offers a wide variety of flavors. There's some strange asian Ramen noodle type things. The other day Jason found some kind of foreign marshmallow snack. There's Barque's Red Cream Soda in the fountain. WTF? Barques has a red cream soda? These are some of the things that I've discovered there over the past year or two but haven't until now though of them in the context of all coming from the same place.

im updating livejournal to tell you that i updated my myspace. lots of pictures (some previously unseen) and several videos. also new music, but seeing as how most people find that to be the most annoying thing about myspace, you can just pretend i didnt say it.

Anybody ever heard of Cox shuting off your internet for hosting an mp3? There's seven mp3s that play off my myspace and since I moved them to my server my internet has stopped working twice. A cable modem restart fixes it but, wtf

What are peoples plans Wednesday? We should get together for food and fire. Works. And popsicles.
There's an elementary school just behind the sports complex with a great view. Anybody want to do an everybody-buys-some-precooked-fried-food-from-the-grocery-store style picnic there at like 7:30? Fireworks are around 9:15.

1. Olyphant is goofy looking, but I don't think that will matter too much so long as he plays the character right. 2. I think the bigger problem is that he sounds nothing like Agent 47. 47h has had the same voice for years and it is very distinct. Sample 3. 47's looks in the game are modeled after the guy that does his voice in the games. This guy is also an actor. I'm holding onto the hope that he'll replace Olyphant in the event of a sequal. 4. Based off the trailer the movie looks like it has promise. It had the same feel as the game but a big part of making that happen is going to be the music. There is no mention of who is doing the music on IMDB but the trailer makes me nervous because, to my knowledge, Ave Maria is the only non Jesper Kyd song ever used in any of the games. 5. The whole "protector of peace" image that the trailer portrays is a load of crap but I've heard that thats just for marketing purposes and will be dropped from later trailers and stuff. He doesn't kill for the greater good or even for the cash he kills becuase hes a killer. Now, is it a concidence that the targets the "Agency" gives him can all be considered "bad guys" - no. But, thats another story.

Sometime early yesterday COX changed my IP address. For one thing I don't have my DNS setup as dynamic so grrar.org did not redirect to its new IP address. But even that wouldn't have helped as each of my computers would need to get a new IP address from my router before the router will play nice with them again. The problem with having the server get a new IP address is that its keyboard and mouse are plugged into the new computer in the living room. Restarting the server would do the trick but because the keyboard isn't plugged in it probably won't boot back up all the way.
So the moral of the story is: because I'm lazy my email server has been down for the past 48 hours or so. I had all kinds of LJ comments I was not aware of. The hole in the ass of my pants was a mysterious three inch tear from the seam of the pocket down.

The plan: Oregano's, Sears for some cloths, Target for a Wii Classic Controller, Phoenix Rock Gym for some rock climbing, IKEA to measure how big of a TV will fit in the entertainment center we wanted.
My first draft started to turn into a novel so let me try this again with bullets to help me stick to the highlights:
- Wrong turn
- Wrong turn
- Oregano's is delicious. We all need to go there. They have pizzas bigger than that place we went in San Diego.
- Wrong turn
- At Sears I bought some shirts, discovered I'd left my credit card at Oregano's, and Sarah and I came across a TV we liked but today was the last day it was on sale. We rushed to IKEA to see if it would fit the entertainment center we wanted.
- Stopped at Target for a Wii Classic Controller
- Wrong turn
- Wrong turn
- At IKEA we bought a drawer thing to replace the bucket on my desk, changed our mind on entertainment centers, and then utilized 411, Google 411, and Naresh 411 to get ahold of the Sears to find out when they closed (9:30).
- Called Naresh to have him check out the specs of the TV for us
- Wrong turn
- Wrong turn
- Picked up my credit card back at Oregano's
- At this point we stopped making wrong turns as Sarah assumed the position of Navigator and started telling me what roads to take.
- Got back to Sears at 9:15 to find out they closed at 9:00. Luckily the doors were unlocked and we attacked two cashiers; essentially telling them we weren't leaving without the sale price on the TV.
- We were successful and we're driving back out there (44th St & Thomas) tomorrow after Church to buy it at the sale price.

So who's coming over for my birthday Tuesday? And what time do you expect to be here? People can come as early as.. 5:30.
And that outing to Verde Hot Springs on the 7th probably won't happen as I now have a family birthday gathering that afternoon. But I think my on-call rotation at work is actually off by a week so the next weekend would probably be better anyway.

I bought a chair and ottoman off craigslist. When Pinches and I got it into my place last night we realized thats it's actually from the same set as my couch. The chair is a darker color but only because its almost brand new.
So long as I was moving stuff I figured I'd finally take a picture of my hitman art to post on the forums. (click for picture)
Sarah and I's two year anniversary was last week. So w00t for that. We went indoor skydiving Sunday for our date. Next week is my birthday. I'll be 23. Which is decidedly an adult age. There's no pretending its not. I'll be in my mid-20s; what the crap.

April 3rd - I might have people over to my place on my birthday. Who would be free? Its a Tuesday.
April 7th - Sarah and I have decided to start trying to take an outdoor excursion once a month. Because walking is healthy. The plan is every first Saturday that Im not on call every month. On the 7th we plan on going to Verde Hot Springs. Its up near Camp Verde and is basically a trek to a hot springs fed pool that used to be part of a resort that burned down in like the 70s. Anybody is welcome to join.
Edit: Oh and hey Pinches- Would you be willing to provide some truckage sometime this weekend to pickup a chair from Scottsdale? I'll buy you lunch! I'll buy you lunch! If you'd rather not though I can ask my brother.
